VICTORIA JOINS NEW SOUTH WALES WAITING ON TONY ABBOTT TO SIGN NDIS AGREEMENTS

September 05, 2015

Victoria is the latest state to indicate it is ready to sign on to the full roll out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.  Just like NSW, all they’re waiting on is Tony Abbott.

It’s time Tony Abbott stopped dragging his feet on signing these bilateral agreements.

Every day that passes without the bilateral agreements being signed puts the full roll out of the NDIS at risk.

The only way for Tony Abbott to end the uncertainty of people with disability and show he is committed to the NDIS is to sign the bilateral agreements with New South Wales and Victoria immediately.

There is no reason to delay on the transition to full roll out.

The New South Wales agreement has been ready for weeks.

Now Victoria is ready.

In Government, Labor fully funded the NDIS.

Before the election, Tony Abbott promised to deliver the NDIS on time and in full.

Instead of getting on with rolling out the scheme, Tony Abbott is focussed on replacing the successful NDIS Board with his mates in big business.

People with disability cannot afford another broken promise from Tony Abbott.

Tony Abbott should immediately sign the agreement with New South Wales and Victoria so that more people with disability in can benefit from the scheme.

People with disability have waited long enough.
