Kevin Andrews is spending $1.7 million in taxpayers’ money on a secretive ‘review’ into the welfare system that will result in savage cuts to vulnerable Australians.

Kevin Andrews is spending $1.7 million in taxpayers’ money on a secretive ‘review’ into the welfare system that will result in savage cuts to vulnerable Australians.

The secretive review will not seek public submissions or release any discussion papers.

This new evidence – given in response to a Question on Notice put to the Government by Labor - highlights the ludicrous farce that this ‘review’ is.

Without widespread input from the public, this is not a serious review into the welfare system.

The review is quite clearly designed with just one aim: to cut support from vulnerable Australians.

Kevin Andrews has already named people on the Disability Support Pension and young Australians looking for work as being on his cuts hit list.

It is just outrageous that the Government would spend so much money on a dishonest review designed to rip money off some of our community’s most vulnerable people.

Labor will fight tooth and nail against cuts to vulnerable Australians, all so Tony Abbott can pay $75,000 to wealthy women to have a baby.
