18 September 2008

Jenny Macklin MP, Federal Member for Jagajaga, today congratulated the winners of the 2008 Commonwealth Sports Awards.

‘We have some amazingly talented sports people in our local community and I was thrilled to be able to recognise their ability and hard work’, Ms Macklin said.

Ms Macklin presented the awards to recipients at a special ceremony at the Centre in Ivanhoe.

‘I was very pleased to see the wide range of people represented, with both young and old receiving awards’.
