HOCKEY ADMITS MASSIVE CUTS TO PENSION

Joe Hockey has finally admitted the Abbott Government’s budget will result in massive cuts to the Age Pension.

Confirming the data in last week’s Parliamentary Budget Office report, in Question Time today Joe Hockey said:

“In 2024-25 according to the Parliamentary Budget Office instead of being $74.8 billion a year its $67.9 billion a year”

JOE HOCKEY, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, 27 AUGUST 2014

This is a $6.9 billion cut in 2024/2025 alone - $23 billion over the next ten years, according to the PBO.

Every cent of this will come out of the pockets of Australian pensioners.

Despite months of torturous lies and empty spin Joe Hockey has finally admitted to massive cuts to the Age Pension.

This is an embarrassing backflip from Joe Hockey, who just weeks ago claimed:

“It is strongly arguable that pensioners are going to be better off…”

JOE HOCKEY, ABC LOCAL RADIO BRISBANE, 13 AUGUST 2014

The reality is that Joe Hockey is cutting the Age Pension.

Today, he finally got something right and admitted it.
