Catholic Ladies College Opens New Sports Track

Jenny has congratulated the Catholic Ladies College community today at the opening of their new fitness track facilities.

Federal Member for Jagajaga, Jenny Macklin MP has congratulated the Catholic Ladies College community today at the opening of their new fitness track facilities.
The new track extends around the current College oval and includes new disabled access.
 
The Federal Government committed $75,000 to the project with the school community contributing an additional $8,328.
 
Ms Macklin officially opened the new facilities on behalf of the Federal Government,   
and congratulated the local school community.
 
“It’s great to be out here at Catholic Ladies College to help launch this terrific new sports track. This is an exciting day for the school,”
 
“I’d like to congratulate the entire school community and all those students, both present and future, that I’m sure will put it to good use,”
 
“I imagine some of our future athletics champions will be developed on this new track in the years to come,”
 
“Projects like this, apart from being big win for this school, have also done their part to protect local jobs and boost the local economy through these tough times.” Ms Macklin said.  
 
Mary Farah, Acting Principal at Catholic Ladies College, hailed the track’s opening.
 
“What we see before us in this fitness track and disable pathway is the conclusion of a long but exciting journey,”
 
“Many people played key roles along that journey and without their unique inputs, today would never have been possible,”
 
“In the years to come, this track will be a treasured and well used resource, enjoyed by both the fun runner and the elite athlete.” Ms Farah said.
